Annette Addo-Yobo is a proud Cohort 4 Alumna of the Lyndon B. Johnson Women’s Campaign School, and a community and legislative advocate from Dallas, TX.

She is an as aspiring state senator that supports initiatives centered on increasing female representation in politics and has spoken to city council, state legislators, and U.S. Congress members advocating for mental health and disability inclusion.  Annette was named Advocate of the Year by the National Alliance on Mental Illness North Texas Chapter in 2023.

Selena Torres is an educator elected to the Nevada state Assembly in 2018.

As a high school English teacher, she is a proud product of Nevada's public education system and advocates for educational equity. As a legislator, she prioritizes issues such as reproductive rights, immigrant empowerment, and language accessibility.

Active in the Nevada Latino Legislative Caucus, she continues to champion diverse representation in the state legislature.

Mana Shooshtari is a first-generation Iranian American activist currently working as a congressional staffer in Washington D.C.

In 2021, she was elected to Delegate to the California Democratic Party for Assembly District 13 and re-elected in 2023. She co-authored and successfully passed a resolution honoring the Woman, Life, Freedom revolution, making the California Democratic Party and the California State Legislature the first to officially recognize this historic movement statewide.

Deja Foxx is the 24 years old founder of GenZ Girl Gang, a graduate of Columbia University, and a digital creator with Ford Models. She is a thought leader working at the intersection of social justice and social media who got her start advocating for reproductive justice after experiencing homelessness in her teenage years.

Deja worked for Kamala Harris at 19 as the Influencer and Surrogate Strategist- becoming one of the youngest presidential campaign staffers in history. She is the recipient of Planned Parenthood's Catalyst of Change award, the Global Citizen Prize, and Gloria Steinem's Ms. Foundation's 'Free to Be You and Me' Woman of Vision award. She is currently living and working in her home state of Arizona where abortion is on the ballot.

Linh Nguyen has extensive political electoral experience, specializing in outreach strategies to young voters, Asian-Pacific Islanders, and communities of color, while working for a number of candidates across the country.

Linh is currently the Executive Director of RUN AAPI and the Social Impact Officer for Fairfax Studios, a creative agency based in Los Angeles.

Angelyn Tabalba is a second-generation Filipino American communications consultant based in Las Vegas, Nevada. Her work involves creating and implementing dynamic and creative communications strategies to advance a clean energy economy and foster a stronger, more inclusive climate movement.

Prior to joining the climate and clean energy arena, Angelyn held communications roles serving Congressman Steven Horsford (NV) and Advanced Energy United, the 100% clean energy business association.

Karrina is a 6th generation Nevadan and graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with her Bachelors of Arts degree in History.

She is the current Miss Nevada with the Miss America Opportunity. Karrina was a legislative intern under Nevada Senate Majority Leader, Nicole Cannizzaro and created her program, Inform To Reform: Educating America’s Future, which promotes youth voter engagement, and increased constitutional education in America’s K-12 education system.

Meet Gen Z changemakers, elected officials, and community organizers who will be at this 1-day interactive Summit to inspire YOU and share their practical advice for honing your leadership skills. Attendees will get to participate in fun workshops around creating content for their social media, designing their individual plan of political action post-Summit, and more!

What is IGNITE?

IGNITE is a national movement of young cis and trans women, nonbinary and gender expansive people, ready and eager to become the next generation of civic and political leaders. Since our inception in 2010, IGNITE has become the largest, most diverse political leadership organization in America mobilizing Gen Z women with sustained community-based training and support to unleash their civic and political power. We train our participants to make a long-lasting impact on their communities

Who are the IGNITE the Vote (ITV) Ambassadors?

IGNITE the Vote Ambassadors are student organizers advocating for voter knowledge, participation, and engagement from their communities during this key election year. You do not have to be a registered Ambassador to attend the Summit. Any attendees who are not Ambassadors at the time of the event have the opportunity to be trained and registered on-site.

is the IGNITE the Vote Summit affiliated with a political party? 

As a nonpartisan nonprofit organization, IGNITE will be structuring the Summit to operate independent of party affiliation. All activities, workshops, and content will be tailored to support attendees from a nonpartisan lens at they discover the tools and skills  they need to mobilize their communities to vote.
