There will be more open seats in our government in 2025 than there were in 2024. Voting isn't just one big event that happens every 2 and 4 years- elections happen every day. Voting is a civic duty and privilege and IGNITE's work to ensure young people become lifelong voters is not dependent on any single election. This is the long game.

IGNITE inspires young people to make their voices heard at the ballot box. Through our IGNITE the Vote program, we show the youngest generation of voters that they can make a difference through their vote, and how to overcome common voting barriers. Our work transcends any single election. It’s about creating a generation of lifelong voters.

Activating First-Time Voters

In Spring 2024, IGNITE launched IGNITE the Vote- a civic education movement that mobilized 150 ITV Ambassadors as community leaders in voter engagement from state primaries to the presidential election. Our digital campaign equipped young advocates- ages 18 to 29- to drive voter registration and dismantle voting barriers by offering training sessions, advocacy resources, and access to a country-wide community. The campaign reached 270,000 Gen Z women of voting age 1.4 million times with targeted messages from their peers aimed at dismantling myths around voting while providing them with the knowledge and resources to cast their vote. Key events like the Gen Z Votes Forum in Texas, the IGNITE the Vote Summit in Las Vegas, and a National Day of Action in September inspired action across the country.

Strategic partnerships with brands like Levi Strauss & Co. and Glossier, alongside organizations like Students Learn Students Vote, amplified our impact, engaging students at 350+ colleges and institutions nationwide.
