Voting is a civic duty and a privilege. And, elections happen every year, from community to state to federal elections, from primaries to general elections, and from electing officials to voting for critical policies issues like reproductive rights, fair wages, and more.

IGNITE works to ensure young women understand their civic duties and are ready to vote in every election they can. We believe everyone has the opportunity to make a difference through voting. That's why we're dedicated to inspiring first-time voters and encouraging the next generation of lifelong voters.

We know today's youth are deeply committed to the future of our country. Young people broke voter turnout records in elections in 2018, 2020, and 2022. Next up: there will be approximately 49 million members of Gen Z eligible to vote in the 2026 midterms. These youth have the power to break turnout records again. 

Since 2012, our IGNITE the Vote program has been providing the tools and resources young people need to overcome barriers to voting. Our efforts emphasize the importance of registering to vote, recognizing the contents of the ballot, understanding the election process, making practical plans to vote, and showing up at the ballot box. Through our IGNITE the Vote Ambassador program, we are not only educating young people about their voting rights and responsibilities, we are also empowering them to engage their families, their friends, and their communities.  supports young women across the country in supporting voter registration and participation.
