Are you ready to use your creativity to drive political power? The 2026 midterms are approaching fast, and we need your help to inspire millions of young voters! 

IGNITE is launching a national competition for young women and gender-expansive youth to design our official, nonpartisan promotional sticker to encourage everyone who is eligible to vote in November. The theme is "IGNITE the Vote 2026: Midterms Matter," and we are looking for designs that are bold, original, and strictly nonpartisan.

The winning design will be printed and distributed across our national network leading up to Election Day. OFFICIAL RULES & REQUIREMENTS

The following rules and requirements are designed to ensure all submissions are original, nonpartisan, and technically ready for mass printing. IGNITE staff will conduct an initial screening of every entry based exclusively on these specifications. Any submission that fails to follow the rules or to meet one or more of the content and/or technical requirements will be immediately disqualified, without notification. Those disqualified will not progress to the judging phase. Please review these rules and requirements carefully before submitting your artwork. General Rules

Participant Eligibility

This competition is open to young women and gender-expansive youth, ages 13 to 29, residing in the United States.

Entry Limit

Entry is limited to one original design submission per participant.

Originality

The design must be the entrant's entirely original artwork. It must not include AI-generated visuals, copyrighted or trademarked images, product logos, clip art, photographs, or recognizable characters (e.g., no cartoon characters, commercial fonts without proper licensing, etc.).

Usage Rights

By submitting an entry, the contestant grants IGNITE the exclusive, irrevocable, and perpetual right to use, reproduce, edit, publish, and distribute the design in whole or in part, free of charge, for any noncommercial purposes (e.g., printing stickers, fundraising materials, program promotion, and organizational marketing).

Publicity Release

By submitting an entry, contestants acknowledge that if selected as a finalist or winner, they grant IGNITE the right (at IGNITE’s sole discretion) to use their name, photograph, and contextual information—including the story behind their design, their age, and general location (city, state)—for fundraising materials, program promotion, and organizational marketing purposes across any media, worldwide, in perpetuity, without additional compensation or notice. IGNITE is under no obligation to use or publish any submitted information.

Content Requirements 

Theme

The theme for this competition is "IGNITE the Vote: Midterms Matter." Entries must promote voting, civic engagement, or the importance of the 2026 midterm elections.

Content Restrictions

  • Designs must be strictly nonpartisan.
  • Designs may not advocate for or against any specific candidate or political party (no elephants or donkeys).
  • Designs may not contain any nudity, profanity, or otherwise offensive or defamatory language or imagery.

Design Requirements

Entries must be submitted in full color, CMYK, using a maximum of four colors, and all colors must align with the IGNITE color palette (see below).

Shape

Stickers must be designed within a common shape–specifically: circle, square, or rectangle.

Size

Designs should be created within a maximum of 2.5 inches.

Resolution

Entries must be submitted at a minimum of 300 DPI at the final print size (2.5 inches).

File Format

Initial designs may be submitted in JPG or PNG format. Vector files (such as AI or EPS) may be requested from finalists.
