Launch your Leadership: A High School Council Series
We’ve been told from a young age that you can be anything you want to be when you grow up. This can include running for office one day, being a community organizer and advocating for change in your community. But politics is still a very male-dominated field, which can discourage women from running for elected office. At IGNITE, we are on a mission to change that, and it all begins with you.
You already have immense power to shape your community, make change happen and have your voice heard. We’re here to show you how to make the most of this power. By joining this virtual training, you’ll learn step-by-step how to engage with your community, take action on an issue you care about and collaborate with other young leaders. You will not only gain the knowledge and tools to enact change locally, but you’ll also join a community of young women across the country who have the same goal of becoming a dynamic leader. At the end of this series, you’ll be ready to mobilize and activate your high school and local community while building your own political ambition.
