Miura Rempis-Locke
Miura Rempis-Locke is a Middle School Humanities Teacher at an urban Title I school in Boston, MA--she also teaches Constitutional Law, Model UN & Model Legislature, and Mock Trial electives. She began with youth organizing during her undergraduate studies at Middle Tennessee State University through fellowships with the Scholars Strategy Network and the Campus Election Engagement Project, and served as the president of a campus political party. She has since graduated from American University with her Master of Public Policy, where she served in fellowships with IGNITE National and the Supermajority Education fund. She currently serves as the President of the Massachusetts Chapter of American United for Separation of Church and State after serving as a fellow in 2025. Miura finishes her Master of Education in February and starts her Master of Arts in History in May.
Miura is a four-time children's book author, advocate, and public school educator with a lifelong passion for civic education, youth voter advocacy, and democratic participation.
Marlena Truong
Marlena Truong works as a Community Advocate for the Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund in NYC. At AALDEF, she focuses on election protection efforts across multiple states, as well as helping build AALDEF's Southeast Asian Legal Defense Network. Prior to moving to New York, Marlena worked for State Senator Tom Umberg in Orange County, CA as a District Representative. She also previously sat on the board of the National Women's Political Caucus of Orange County, an organization dedicated to endorsing and electing progressive, pro-choice women to all levels of elected and appointed office.
In her free time, Marlena enjoys exploring the food scene in New York, taking care of her elderly cat, and catching up with friends.
