Hawa Sow serves as the Ohio Campus Organizer for IGNITE National. Hawa is currently enrolled in a dual undergraduate and graduate program at The Ohio State University, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in public policy and a master’s degree in public administration.

Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio to two hardworking Senegalese immigrants, Hawa brings lived experiences and love of learning have shaped her commitment to advancing social equity and justice, with a particular focus on immigration and mass incarceration. When she’s not working, she enjoys reading, discovering new cafés around the city, and, most recently, embroidery.

Hawa looks forward to bringing her passion into her work at IGNITE and contributing to meaningful change across Ohio’s campuses and communities.
