Geovanie (Geo) Ordoñez serves as Development Manager at IGNITE, where she advances the organization’s national fundraising strategy and builds authentic relationships with donors, foundations, and other ambassadors to inspire investment in IGNITE’s mission.

Geo’s connection to IGNITE began as the inaugural San Antonio Fellow as part of the 2017–18 cohort. During her fellowship, she helped establish IGNITE’s presence at local colleges and universities and supported student-led events, including voter registration drives, salary negotiation workshops, and pizza nights with city council members. That experience transformed how she saw her own potential and sparked a lasting passion for civic engagement and purpose-driven work. She currently sits on her local library advisory board. 

An accidental fundraiser, Geo brings seven years of experience inspiring generosity and building meaningful relationships with donors across the animal welfare, migrant justice, and youth development sectors. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Political Science and International Relations from St. Mary’s University.

Today, Geo is proud to add “mom” to her many titles. She lives in the Dallas-Fortworth area with her family and enjoys cooking, working out, and spending time at the library with her daughter.
