As IGNITE’s Communications Director, Amy leads design and execution of high-impact communications strategies to position the organization and enhance thought leadership visibility. She couples strategy with storytelling to craft creative collateral highlighting the impact of IGNITE’s programming in ways that resonate with a diversity of stakeholders. She is also responsible for ensuring branding and messaging across IGNITE’s external platforms reflect the organization’s mission, vision, and values.

Amy is a trusted thought leader in inclusive and respectful communications and is deeply committed to advancing gender equality and amplifying the rights of underserved communities through the creation of engaging and educational content. She brings more than a decade of experience serving in senior editorial positions for social impact organizations working to advance gender equality and reproductive health, improve access to education, promote democracy and peace, and more.

Amy earned a Master of Arts in International Development specializing in Women and Development from American University as well as professional certificates in Graphic and Digital Design; Equity, Inclusion, and Social Justice in Design; and Digital Marketing Science.

Amy lives in Alexandria, Virginia with her husband and her adorable, albeit occasionally mischievous, cats.
