About IGNITE´s Advisory Groups

IGNITE's state-based advisory groups play a crucial role in shaping our legislative priorities and mobilizing Gen Z voters. If you're a community leader eager to make a difference in your state, we invite you to apply for our 2026-27 cohort!

IGNITE advisory boards are based in California, Ohio, and Texas. Each advisory group will meet virtually once a month, from September 2026 through May 2027 and co-facilitate an in-person IGNITE the Capitol advocacy training day in Spring 2027. The exact day and time for these meetings and events will be determined based on the group's availability. Advisory group members will also lead online and in-person civic engagement activities on their campuses or in their communities. 

By joining an advisory group, you are committing to:

• Attending monthly meetings (virtual)
• Hosting at least one voter mobilization event in your community before the midterms
• Co-facilitating one IGNITE the Capitol event at your state capital (expected dates: January in Texas, March in Ohio, April in California)
  
• Organizing at least one advocacy event in your community (Spring 2027)
  

All advisory board members receive a monthly stipend of $125 as well as financial support for required travel.
