Know Your Ballot! A Virtual Work Party by AARP NY and IGNITE

Whether you’re a seasoned voter or whether this is your first time casting your vote, we know that a ballot can be intimidating. 

What are the different races? Who are the candidates? Where do I begin? We’re here to answer your questions. 

Join us for a one-hour work party where IGNITE facilitators will walk you through the ins and outs of your NYC ballot. Get questions answered, get educated, and feel confident in making your voice heard at the ballot box! 

Participants will use guided exercises to:

• Understand what is on their ballots (candidates and propositions); 
• Conduct informed research so that they are prepared to cast their vote;
• Make a voting plan
