Julia Perrotta is proud to serve as IGNITE’s Civic Engagement Coordinator. Julia recently graduated the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she studied Political Science and Philosophy, Politics, and Economics and now lives in Washington, DC. During her time in school, Julia was very involved in pro-democracy legislative advocacy and organizing, leading research on voter accessibility and technology with Democracy NC. She also realized her passion for foreign policy and interned for a foreign policy think tank and studied international politics during a semester abroad in London. Julia previously served the IGNITE community as the Raleigh/Durham fellow for two years, coordinating legislative advocacy and networking events to encourage young women in the Research Triangle area to step into their political power and empower young women to lead critical policy conversations. Julia is honored to be a part of the IGNITE community and continue facilitating energizing and accessible political spaces for young women leaders.
