IGNITE Announces Updates to Board of Directors

IGNITE, America's largest, most diverse nonprofit organization devoted to young women's political empowerment, is proud to welcome Sharon Harris and Anne Morriss as the new Co-Chairs of its Board of Directors. Sharon is the current founder and CEO of the Sharon Harris Collective, which provides thought leadership and digital media management to various clients in Atlanta, Georgia. Prior to this, she worked as Chief Marketing Officer at Ascential. Sharon has served as a member of IGNITE's Board of Directors since 2019 and as Vice-Chair since 2021. Anne Morriss is the current Principal at The Morriss Group. She has served as a member of IGNITE's Board of Directors since 2022. We’re extremely proud and excited to continue working with both of them in their new roles.

We would like to thank Anne MacDonald, former Board Chair, for her years of service and dedication to the organization. So much of what IGNITE has to offer is a direct result of Anne’s leadership and her immense contributions to our mission to politically empower young women across the nation. IGNITE will continue to work closely with Anne as she steps into the newly formed Chair Emeritus Circle in an advisory capacity. Anne began her service as a member of the IGNITE Board of Directors in 2016 before stepping into the role of Chair in 2021.

We would also like to welcome Luna Barrington to the Board of Directors’ executive committee as Secretary. Luna has served as an IGNITE Board member for several years, and we’re excited to see her step into this new role.
