Emily Carriere, Grants Manager

Emily Carriere is proud to serve as IGNITE’s Grants Manager. Emily is an advocate for involving women, girls, and gender expansive youth in decision-making processes. She believes that this is the only way to create an equitable future for all. Emily previously served as an intern for IGNITE’s Development team where she fueled her passion for advocacy by raising funds to further women’s parity in political office through intentional philanthropic strategy. Emily triple majored in Feminist Studies, Legal Studies and Psychology at the University of California, Santa Cruz. She went on to receive her Masters in Public Policy from the University of California, Riverside. Her research focused on how and why electing women of color has positive impacts on the healthcare system. Emily aims to bridge the gap between policy and philanthropy by writing compelling narratives conveying the urgency of
doing work that addresses political issues of the moment.
